Feedback deadline after trial work. When is it appropriate to ask?

I applied for a sales assistant position at a retail company. I had my interview and trial last Thursday. The recruiter said they'd get back to me on Friday or Monday. I realize this may seem impatient, but I'm worried I won't hear back at all and will be ghosted instead (I've had this experience with other companies many times), and I really need the part-time job! Should I contact the company tomorrow? Or would it be more appropriate to wait until the end of the week?
