Bicycle with auxiliary motor (Rixe)?
Hello, good evening.
I have a Rixe built in 1952.
The front lamp lights up separately above the engine.
Dynamo 6Volt/3Watt on the rear wheel.
My light bulb is constantly burning
6 volts/2.4 watts.
Do I need the 3 watt bulb?
I have no idea, that's why I used this forum………, there's definitely someone there who knows about this kind of thing.
After all, you can't know everything?
Thank you and have a nice evening.
PETER
The 3 W result from 2.4 W front and 0.6 W rear. Is the backlight okay?
The dynamo is only for the backlight, which is ok 6Volt/2.4Watt
If I drive faster, the pear will burn.
Then I'd think about overvoltage protection for the dynamo.
Thank you very much for your answers, unfortunately, did not bring me further.
As said, the front lamp is fed by the engine, the rear light from the dynamo.
I would like to get the original, clear…other dynamo with overvoltage protection..is just new dynamo on old bike.
Is there no other way?
Thank you.
Greetings, beautiful day
Peter

Modern dynamos often have overvoltage protection. Yours obviously not.
Overvoltage protection? I can think about it, but I can't get out.
These pears also burn quickly when they fit from the values. When they're hot, there's a punch hole and they're over. And if your dynamo delivers more than pears, it goes even faster. So you look for a pear that once at least carries the 3 watts.
Try it with 3 watts. Unfortunately, they are very sensitive.
Great rarity 😉.
Nice part!
You could measure how many volts the dynamo actually brings.
A simple solution would be a 9V pear.
Thank you for your efforts.
If you need some advice?
I'd be happy to return.
I've been working for a long time as a furniture restorer…..please continue to experience.

what was the cause???
7.5 volts pear I looked in, worked wonderfully.
(Now I can scare the chickens at night)
THANK YOU❗️
Well, they should have a rated voltage of 9V. And that's something unusual. But if you know an electronic hobbyist who builds you one, maybe even an adjustable (between 6 and 12 volts) then it is maximum bright and does not burn through!
Can I screw in an LED bulb?
Theoretically, there could also be 7.5 volts. (Gave it very soon.)
I'll try this for the first time with a 9V pear.
