Optimal setting for school rowing ergometer testing?

Hello, at school we're currently being graded for rowing 2 km against the clock (on an ergometer). We're allowed to use levels 6 through 10, but I've only ever rowed at level 10. I think level 6 might be more power-efficient, though. I only have one attempt, and I'd rather not risk it tomorrow. Does anyone know anything?

Personally, I always prefer stage 7.

Yes, step 10 requires a higher force.

It is important that the powerful rudder strike is more important than an excessive number of strokes.
