Oh, you still work! If your contract is not extended and you have worked for at least one year for social insurance, you are entitled to ALG1. If ALG 1 is not sufficient, it may be possible to apply for additional civil money. If, for example, you make civil money during February, you will receive civil money for all February.

First of all, you should check if you have fulfilled the pre-requisite period for ALG – 1 as an insurance benefit from the Employment Agency.

If you are within 30 months min. 12 months have paid contributions to unemployment insurance and are available for placement in work, you should first apply for ALG-1.

Depending on the amount of the claim, a claim for housing benefit could be examined by the Housing Allowance Agency if you are a tenant or owner of self-inhabited housing and receive the required minimum income.

You should report to the employment agency as quickly as possible. Then you might get a new job right away.

If I apply for civil money on 1 February.

Then the question will be in the room since when you know that your contract expires and why you didn’t report earlier.
When you first show up there after the contract has ended, you did not use all the possibilities to prevent unemployment (formerly!). And that’s exactly what you’re gonna blame.

And then the question is how long you worked and whether you have to apply for ALG I first.

This depends on when you can earn your pay for January.
