Microsoft Windows not responding?
The question is in the title: Every time I launch Fortnite, a few minutes later, Windows stops responding. Nothing works. I literally can't open anything anymore and have to restart my PC by pressing a button. I reinstalled Fortnite this morning because I had the same problem yesterday, then it worked for a few hours, but now it's not working again.
So you should try that.
1. Change DirectX version:
• Fortnite offers the possibility to switch between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12. Some players report stability issues with DirectX 12. To change the DirectX version, go to the settings in Fortnite and select the desired DirectX version under “Graphics”. Changing to DirectX 11 could improve stability.
2. Use compatibility mode:
• Sometimes it can help to run the game in compatibility mode. Right-click the Fortnite link, select “properties” and then the “compatibility” tab. Activate “Run program in compatibility mode for” and select an earlier Windows version.
3. Close background programs:
• Some background applications can cause conflicts with Fortnite. Close unnecessary programs, especially those that use overlay functions, such as Discord or GeForce Experience.
4. Customize Virtual Memory:
• An inadequate virtual memory can cause crashes. Go to “Control Panel” > “System and Security” > “System” > “Advanced System Settings” > Rider “Advanced” > “Settings” under “Performance” > Rider “Advanced” > “Virtuary Work Savings” and adjust size.
5. Check Windows Updates:
• Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date, as updates often fix compatibility issues.
6. Reinstall Epic Games Launcher:
• A reinstall of the launcher can repair damaged files that may cause problems.
Nothing has worked, I have to say that I have Windows 11 and not Windows 10
Hmm
