Could you drink disinfectant mixed with something else?

Today in school we were talking about it and someone said it would be just like drinking a normal alcohol mixture because disinfectant only contains alcohol. Is that really true or could it be harmful?

Hello,

because disinfectant contains only alcohol,

That's not true. The alcohol is almost always a means of counterfeiting. That's how the alcohol becomes insolable. This just to prevent you from drinking the alcohol.

Spiritus is usually added to an agent which leads to vomiting. However, it may also be that further fermented substances are added, or the base material is not branded wine, but has been produced from oil.

The disinfectant I just got here contains 80% ethanol.

Wiki says it's alcohol.

This would correspond to the alcohol content of straw.

It would have to be very thin.

I'm sorry.

And other disinfectants may also contain other substances. Eg methanol, which is highly toxic

However, there are additional substances in which the viruses and bacteria are to kill and are usually toxic and/or carcinogenic…

But who likes to poison himself….

Someone should try it with formaldehyde or metacresol. It's a bad way to commit suicide.
