WordPress site slow, what's the reason?

Hello,

I have now hosted my website with Hetzner Web Hosting, hoping to have faster hosting.

But no luck. Google and other tests say the initial response time is WAY too high (currently around 2 seconds).

What can I do?

Caching would be a good idea. Autoptimizer would be my recommendation.

(Habs now on the phone does not check if you use a caching plugin, but the performance speaks for it)

Yes, the pagespeed tool will show you what you created for construction sites?

I think the server is less responsible, it's on your side, eg the countless external scripts you've integrated into. Surely you can also speed up the wordpress with caching etc.

No, you didn't, that's what you're saying. It lists everything that matters. It is necessary to try every single point. The server is slow because your wordpress is not properly configured. I've already written a first tip.

Google and other tests say the initial reaction time is MUCH too high

then Google also tells you what this is about. Put that down.

The best hosting doesn't help you if the server has to run twenty thousand WordPress plugins before sending anything to the user.
