Gmx free mail access no longer possible?
Hello Community,
At GMX free mail, I was asked to re-enter my password for "security reasons." The password I wrote down was supposedly invalid. To reset it, I was given a phone number that was long out of date and an alternative email account that no longer exists.
The so-called Auto Ident procedure with my identity card also didn't work, even though I entered my data correctly and tried it several times in different variations.
When I email customer service, I get an automatically generated standard response saying that they can't help me and referring me to the steps I've already taken – but so far without success.
I have the feeling that there is a system behind it that they are using to push you onto their paid offers or their paid telephone hotline.
Have you had similar experiences? And what other steps can I take to access the important emails stored in my gmx email archive? Unfortunately, I have also listed this email address with several contacts on whom I rely for messages.
I'm happy for any advice that makes sense! Kind regards, Hans Stille
I think more GMX says it doesn't have a bump on any special cases where people are "too stupid" or other reasons.. Put someone to help you personally, and they'll only get the money if you pay monthly…
The system is, I keep looking at which corners I have to save and best I sell things.. gmx and 1und1 belong together..
I'm in no way too stupid to enter my right data. But I have entered it exactly and correctly and also tried in different variants as that did not work out for the first time. I have stored my GMX mailbox for years and in the archive just data where it comes to guarantees for purchases and other important data can't just make the store and even say you don't get to it anymore. I have also found various people on the Internet who have the same problems and who obviously have also refused access to the correct password.

GMX writes online that they do not offer telephone customer service. I would have sent a copy of your ID to Karlsruhe with your request and then waited for the answer.
The one to write with a copy of my ID is perhaps not a bad idea can be good that I do that
I think you fell in on a pinshing email that is not from GMX or
you confuse this just with the DE-Mail from Gmx there is an Ident Check necessary but not at Free mail.
I don't know an Ident procedure at GMX or I never had to run through any email provider.

But I get this message when I want to open my GMX app that offers me either enter my password or remove the app associated with the message that my mailbox is full and no longer works. So if that's a phishing app, would they have to have hacked or changed the GMX app?
This ident method is offered to me directly from GMX and if you don't know that then it doesn't mean there is. The problem is not with me but with GMX
I have the same problem. Could you find a solution?
I think your data is being abused. You did everything to answer your personalities from an email with click. Fine. They'll be happy… And you got trouble. Your data can now be misused. They can pretend to be your person. Even the identity card history….
Never click anything from an email. It can be fake.
It's just people who think they're creepy and all the others are stupid. I didn't enter any sensitive data at all, but if I don't even get a reasonable answer then I have to look around somewhere else for help or advice, because here are probably only swallowers on the road today and important subjects
