PC doesn't want Ethernet anymore?
I got a PC yesterday, and everything was working fine. I wanted to use Ethernet to transfer data, but it didn't work, so I reset all the settings. Now it just says "The Ethernet cable is not connected," but the adapter is recognized.
Tried all commands, reinstalled drivers etc, nothing works
USB tethering via mobile phone works and is also recognized as Ethernet
Check cable.
I did, of course, on the other device everything works.
have you ever looked at whether the LED lights at the port? if there is no green LED as soon as a cable is plugged, can assume that the port is over
Yesterday, for the first time, everything worked out, would have changed with IP addresses to transfer data via Ethernet, when that was then nothing I reset the settings, and in the BIOS everything is at the age so I am completely surprised.
what have you changed?
and then what has been set back and what has changed in the UEFI?
In the BIOS I didn't have to do anything about it after I installed Windows I don't have to do it anymore, so it can't really be related.
on the notebook you can also not adjust BIOS to what is possible with desktop UEFI
All I did on my PC, I did on my laptop
On the laptop
then we'll still be a vrestwell if you can exclude a defective cable
Yes, lights are quite normal
and what about the LED? you have written nothing
IP allocation separately and then hold IP entered and all the stuff. Now everything is automatically set for DHCP and UEFI. I have restarted everything by simply going to "Reset Network" and otherwise made any adjustment to the old
