Steam account ban due to modding?

I want to get EA Play on Steam and mod the games there. Mainly Battlefront 2. Can my Steam account be banned for doing so, or will I at most be banned from Battlefront's online mode?

If there are mods from the community, nothing will happen. In this way, not directly the account is blocked, but the online access is denied to you, or if the exclusion is more of EA.

In fact, the developer studio (EA) warns itself against mods ONLINE to use and based on its own risk.

Of course, this looks different on own servers and also on so-called official Mod servers.

The catch is that the intellectual property (in the case of software it can always and exclusively only be intellectual property – which in this case does not differ from material property. Thus, it always remains at the discretion of the owner, ie the studio or the respective company to which the rights belong.

But- and that should be decisive. Especially the large studios have always agreed and even advocated when eg game (fan) communities mods have developed.

ALSO as long as you don't cheat or change anything like this for you, and this is online, but only working on cosmetic things or even developing something like those helicopters had integrated at DayZ- will hardly happen. However, this would only work on your own server – but not on official others.

Everything that is changed in terms of play, however, is fundamentally regarded as cheating if it is only yours own Character affects and due to be on official serves. Then you can count on a (VAC)ban.
