What does “determined” mean?
I'm currently learning Biblical Hebrew and occasionally come across the expression "determined." In the attached image, I've highlighted a passage where it says that, for example, a constructus compound can only be determined/indetermined as a whole. What does that mean? Does it refer to the article before the respective word (ie, the definite and indefinite articles)?
Thank you very much for your help!
Under this infinitive look at the verb at Google. You can also take, for example, DWDS, Duden or PONS as a reference, if you don't understand what's in brackets.
There are other foreign words in your text. What do you want to understand if you're already failing this comparatively light verb?
determined = fixed
destined.
Like
The school = Beit hate
A school = Beit sefer
I would suggest, in terms of language, "inceeded"
That's what that means in brackets.
It's certain and indefinite. Does this relate to articles or anything else?
indefinite = not determined
