physics parallel circuit r total calculate?
Hello, I'm in the 8th grade at high school and I wanted to ask how I calculate rges.
At school, our teacher showed us how to do it like this: rges = 1/r1 + 1/r2. But on YouTube it says rges = r1 x r2 + r1

There either the teacher has pawed, or you have written off incorrectly: a resistance can never be at the same time its reciprocal value…
Rather, it is correct: 1/Rges= 1/R1 + 1/R2 + [1/R(3 to n)] (small "r" stands in M and Ph for radius, not for resistance (resistant)

1) stands for YT nothing…
2) must mean: Rges = R1 x R2 / (R1 + R2) -> which is the same equation as above, only reshaped according to Rges.
