Worms in the aquarium – reason for shrimp death?
Hello, I set up my Mini M at the beginning of the year. Since mid-February, there have been about 30 red bees inside.
Unfortunately, some of my plants have been dying almost every day for the past two weeks, even though I haven't made any major changes. The water parameters are fine. So far, I haven't used any fertilizer. Just a little humic substance.
However, I noticed hundreds of small, white worms in the soil. I'm guessing they're not planarians. See photo (look closely).
water values:
I always change the water according to the N03 value. I never let it exceed 15.
On the picture it looks like it could be the roots of the floor deckers. This can also be on the picture.
If there are no roots, they are harmless worms. All very thin, small sausages living in the substrate are harmless.
Sorry, but I don't see the "worms" even at maximum magnification. I would change the water more, shrimps are more sensitive than many fish…
I type threadworms or tubifex
