What are instincts?
Are instincts like a seventh sense? I was just looking through the peephole in the door, a peephole where you can't see that anyone is looking through it. A couple walked past and as I looked past the woman looked straight into my eyes. People often notice when they are being watched. Why is that? Is THAT proof that there is more to it than what we can see with the naked eye? Some people also sense when something bad is going to happen to them or to people they have a deep connection with. For example, impending illness, or that they are dealing with a bad person who is not well-disposed towards them. How can this be explained?
People, as far as I know, don't really have instincts. However, something like reflexes or also strongly emotional reactions (anxiety reactions eg).
Instincts are more reactions in animals that run completely automatically and are the same for every animal. For example, the instinct to withdraw from illness or to protect the offspring. Or even with fear to crawl or to bruise the teeth. The animal doesn't think that it would be useful to hide from eating enemies in case of illness, but it does it automatically, instinctively.
Being observed is probably not sure why some notice it – others not and the same people not always all situations – but it could be selective perception. (You just looked when she looked, completely random. If she had seen it two minutes later, you might not have noticed it because you had turned away from the door again).
Although the term "human urinary instincts" is also spoken here as an alternative, in my knowledge the term instinct no longer applies to modern people. We do a lot unconsciously, but not automatically-controlled as in some animals.
By contrast, some reflexes are automatically controlled. We can, however, partially learn to suppress those (eg, anxiety reactions, eye-catching when someone claps in front of our face – you can learn to suppress, but it is difficult).
What you're telling me is often noticed when people go for a walk and you'll notice that they're being watched by far. Think there's definitely something like a psion-like sense. This instinct, however, is not as pronounced in all human beings as not everyone can see equally well.
It's just a coincidence.
It just happens too often!
That anyway. Being human has its limits, which, however, decrease through progress, knowledge and expansion.
You have already explained this relatively well in the text below. Instincts are quasi impulses that occur directly.
Instinct is that the polar bear will kill you, even if you intend to stop the ice-floor.
That's not right at the front and back…
