Loss due to too many data storage devices?
Hi everyone! I wanted to replace the SATA HDD on my laptop with a 1TB Samsung 970 NVMe SSD, but I'm wondering whether I should leave the HDD connected or not? I mean, wasn't it the case that too many drives would cause data loss in the lanes? So, in the end, I'll have one NVMe SSD for Windows, one for games, and then an inactive HDD that I can use anytime.
Ask me the first question: If an SATA HDD is installed… Can the notebook even record an NVMe?
As far as I know, the notebook has two NVMe ports as well as a SATA port. So there are currently a HDD and an NVMe SSD for Windows
“As far as I know” does not mean knowing, so inform yourself in advance
And if you already have an NVMe in it and want to replace it, then this is independent of the SATA
And even if at the NVMe a lantern of the four should fall away… THE NOTE
