Rabbit is very scared?
Hi, I'm Leonie, I have two dwarf rabbits. One is called Dose and one is called Batman, they're both male and both are neutered. I've read a bit online, but it's not always credible… First of all, my rabbits don't live in a hutch or cage. My room is basically their room. I guess from the rabbits' point of view, my room is theirs and I'm just a tolerated guest 😂 but Dose sometimes nudges me with her nose, and so does Batman… Then I sit or lie down on the floor and usually the two of them come and cuddle. They get treats too, if they want them. There's one thing I don't understand about Batman, though. He comes running up to me, nudges me with his nose and when I'm sitting or lying on the floor he presses himself close to me and is totally relaxed and cuddles but as soon as I take my hand and want to stroke him he gets totally scared and goes off like a rocket… He races through the room and only hides when you stretch out your hands to him… He's had this from the start and I don't understand where his fear comes from but does anyone have any ideas how I can help him ease or take away this fear?
And dose has serious problems with his weight. He weighs about 2-2.2kg but eats and drinks well. I don't know how I can make him gain weight… (he is a 3 year old dwarf rabbit). If I make any mistakes, please correct me if I do something wrong.
These are the two
Hi. The weight seems to be quite normal, the best way to advise you from your veterinarian
Two. I can’t guess why fine rabbits reacts so, let’s just try to put your hand in front of him, then slowly start brushing him. The whole thing is that he can get used to your hand more and more. That you’re holding a leak. It should be back.
LG!
