Hi, how much do you pay per month for one cat? Litter and what food do you recommend? How much does a scratching post cost? Do you need insurance?

Is cat or dog more expensive

Cats are kept i.d.R. min. to two.
We give for spread and feed approx. 150-180 per month, with two cats.
Good cat food is clearly declared (e.g. 42% beef meat, 9% beef liver, etc.), has a meat content of min. 65% and is free from cereals/ gluten and sugar.
Wet food is recommended. TroFu only if you also pay attention to the liquid balance and help, as TroFu removes moisture and many cats are rather drinking hustle. So a drinking fountain can animate more to drink, help with cat’s lush etc. then you really have to take care of it as a holder, otherwise it strikes extremely on the kidneys in the old one.
In addition, raw meat for the teeth should be fed (no pig or wild boar)

A scratching tree must be min. be so high that a cat can easily get up to it and is still air to the top, as it goes up in the average from 20Euro. Especially ceiling scratches are very popular, since cats like to sit up and lie.

Surgical insurance (including dental insurance) is recommended today, due to current veterinarian costs.
My BKH must be pulled a tooth (she is 3 years old) as the corner tooth has broken off. Such a tooth extraction + X-ray etc. costs up to 700 euros, if the X-ray still notices, it can even become more expensive.
An OP insurance for cats is about 15-25 Euros in the month, also gives more cheaper and more expensive, depends on what to cover, how much they take in the year, how much percent they take over, etc.

You have to be able as an animal holder approx. 1000-1500 euros to be able to pay spontaneously, as accidents and diseases can still happen, additional aftertreatments, at the age also medicines etc. that can quickly become very expensive.

Then there are also the basic costs, such as castration, vaccinations, chippen, annual check at the veterinarian (only because you don’t notice the cat, it doesn’t mean there’s nothing.)
Of course, this is the purchase of the cat.
A breed cat from a FiFe recognized association is about 800-1500 euros, per kitten (here a belonging of the FiFe is very important, the FiFe stamp is also always visible directly on the main page with recognized associations)
In the animal shelter/animal shelter, each animal is between 100-150€ per animal, usually somewhat cheaper when you take two for example 150 per cat, for two 250.
Worse animals are always cheaper, but also have special requirements, or need medical care due to chronic diseases, which of course costs money again.

With fodder and stray, this is about 50€ a month… surely goes cheaper as I buy better food at the zoo store for the 1€ for 100g… insurance can be done or you make a savings book where you pay 25€ a month or more… there you come out somewhere between 50-100€ a month…

Scratch comes to the size of what you end up

I bought such tribes at Ebay where the high can be on the closet

You calculate 2 cats because you should not keep them alone

Just leave it. You’re still extremely young, you don’t have life experience. Become grown up and learn to find yourself in life. Animals are not toys
