I was hiking in the mountains in Switzerland today, and at an elevation of about 2,900 meters, I saw a huge flock of birds. They were mostly white birds with black details. The calls were very unspecific, nothing special, but I'm sure they don't belong there and are just passing through.
What kind of birds could these be?

Jetzt ist Vogelzug-Zeit, wie groß waren sie denn? Groß wie Gänse oder Kleinvögel?
Etwa so gross wie die meisten Finken, aber es waren keine Schneefinken. Es könnten vom Aussehen her Schneeammern (Winterkleid/Prachtkleid) gewesen sein, aber das wäre ein Wunder in der Schweiz, also eher unwahrscheinlich

Google mal Schneefinken (Montifringilla nivalis).
Kann sein, von der Grösse her passend, aber sie waren wirklich schneeweiss mit wenig schwarzen Details und nicht gräulich.
