Don't understand number 4? (Math, interval calculation)?

Hi,

well…I just don't understand how I'm supposed to know who's right?

I've been thinking about it for a while, but I still don't understand.

Could someone maybe help me?

I would be very grateful!

But it can't be Lara, can it?

In the x-direction: 1 box corresponds to 0.25 length units (LE)
In the y-direction: 1 box corresponds to 0.5 length units (LU)

The gray gradient triangle has been shown

x-direction: 9 boxes ≙ 9 · 0.25 LE = 2.25 LE
y-direction: 6 boxes ≙ 6 0.5 LE = 3 LE (but downwards)

With it:

Lara only counted boxes and did not take into account that the box sizes correspond to different units of length.

Timo swapped the numerator and denominator and forgot the sign, since the y-values get smaller (-3) and not larger (+3) from left to right,

Note the different units on the x and y axes

x is double compared to y

.

horizontal 2.25 long

vertical 2.75 high

so -2.75/2.25 would be correct

The -3 for Jana is wrong , because at -3 the triangle should go through here

one box, half a unit

… Your red points belong 0.25 units to the left, then they also lie on the vertical side of the gradient triangle and then Δy is also – 3.
