How could birds predict the earthquake in Japan?

There are several videos like this:

by birds behaving extremely strangely before the earthquake in Japan. How can birds detect an earthquake before it happens?

Various animals notice changes in the environment due to their anatomical and biological senses and perceptions, which we do not possess or have not possessed for a long time.
Air pressure, slight vibrations, vibrations, etc. there are many things that we don't even notice, but other animals notice and react accordingly.
Of course not all animals and even today there are investigations, research and studies that deal with exactly this, because unfortunately there are also many observations or 'anecdotes' that do not provide scientific evidence, but research is still being carried out, of course you have to do different research for each animal and that is not so easy.
It is much easier with our pets than with wild animals, also because of their frequency and domesticated animals are on average better and easier to observe.

Some animals can sense vibrations that precede an earthquake, even some time before. Elephants, for example, can do this, as can cats and dogs. It's not supernatural, but it's fascinating.

They can't.

How do you know this has something to do with earthquakes? I don't see any evidence of that.
