IP TV – Best alternative to MagentaTV?
We've had Magenta TV for two years now, and it worked acceptably well. However, the deal breaker for me was that you have to forgo recording to external hard drives. Besides, we don't even watch that much TV, and I find the monthly cost of over €30 too expensive.
So with us in Austria there are eg internet-TV.at , this is completely free, the disadvantage is just a very small selection of larger and well-known transmitters, the large private ones are not represented there and most of them are small savings and regional programs.
Personally, that's enough for the little thing I'm looking at "real time" because I almost only use various media libraries. It's much more convenient and I don't have to take anything anymore.
This is Austria, but I do not know whether it works in Germany.
Otherwise DVB-T2? There are many stations for free, and if you want to have the big private stations, it costs 7.99 a month.
It's similar to me. I can already receive the public-laws by app/mediathek, as you already pay for it and I look at the private ones only two shows, both of which are very rare. And the ones I like to draw on to keep them, as unfortunately there is nowhere to buy them.
Although the recording function is practically good for 40 months to pay for MagentaTV + rental equipment is actually bullshit and should I ever want to change the provider, all recorded broadcasts are slippery.
Recording is no longer a sooo big problem nowadays, there are inexpensive HDMI recorders or capture cards and easy ways to bypass HDCP (which is legally moving in a gray zone, but as long as you only make it crows for personal own use there is no cock anyway).
Hello,
Too bad you're not satisfied with MagentaTV. Is your decision firm or will we talk about it again? There are different packages.
