Mediamarkt deducted €100 when returned to the store?
My husband bought me an Apple Watch 9 Gold yesterday. I unpacked the watch but haven't used it yet because then I realized it was the wrong watch. I wanted the GPS+Cell watch. Today we went to Mediamarkt and wanted to return the watch and ordered the new one.
MediaMarkt deducted €100 from us because the packaging was opened. Is that allowed? I can't find anything on their website that says they normally deduct a flat rate of €100. The watch wasn't turned on, it still has the protective film on it, and it was exchanged after less than 24 hours.
Does anyone happen to know if this is correct or not?
Yes, that’s allowed.
You can also dispense with the change and keep the watch.
You just bought the wrong watch and the market can’t do it.
And an opened packaging means that the watch is only still to be sold as “used” and that at a reduced price
Of course. Once the packaging has been opened, they need to take back nix. That’s just cunning. And that is the reason for return: not fallen. The clock is only cheaper to sell by the broken packaging than used. Of course, they’ll put you in the bill.
There is no right of withdrawal in stationary trade. Thus, Media Markt can do as they are fun.
Whether you accept this or keep the clock, you can decide.
If that’s the withdrawal conditions, that’s right.
This does not necessarily have to be deposited in the Terms and Conditions in this form, because the amount of the costs also varies depending on the goods, the condition and the effort to make the goods recurring.
It is not correct to assume that the goods are withdrawn anyway and free of charge. The “replacement / return right within 14 days” does not have the customer for this type of business (unpackaged at all), unless the dealer expressly prescribes this.
as you have bought them in the shop, you have no right to exchange if there is no lack.
the dealer can first meet his own rules. However, this must be somewhere in the AGB.
you should read.
there is:
Please note that the withdrawal of sealed goods is excluded if the seal has been removed.
so you’ve been lucky to have taken them back at all.
