Why are radio hosts such mainstream music fans?
Why does it always sound like radio hosts are really into mainstream music? Why do I get this feeling? Are all those who can't relate to current mainstream music fired?

There are MONO recordings of Pink Floyd's first two albums, first released in the UK. Apparently there is also a MONO version of the album Meddle. Neither Wikipedia nor Discogs provide definitive information on this. A search for "Pink Floyd Meddle MONO" on Discogs lists a French release, but the description doesn't indicate whether it's…
Even a famous German comedian is involved in such a dance rap song, and is at the top of the charts. For me, dance rap is nonsense. Nobody around me, not even young people, listens to that stuff. How is it possible that this stupid dance rap is so high in the charts?

Me and a friend are going to the Jazeek concert at the Uber Eats Music Hall today at 8pm She is 14 and I am 15. Can we get in or do we need an escort?
Hello What do you think of such music https://youtu.be/q2E21Ga–lo?si=jcyfq0kW3kWWRobq&t=105 In case anyone wants to know, the music is still called Phonk and is a mix of Mephis Rap and Hip-Hop. LG
Hi I'm going to a concert with my family soon at Pier One in Wietzendorf. The band is Maybe Tomorrow. Can my 11-year-old son go?
This is their profession, so perhaps people are interested in it. You don’t talk badly about his job either. And their motivation is surely also that the music likes listening to the radio. Can be that the private metal core at home. As a rule, you are satisfied if you do your job well and the customer is satisfied even if you have a different taste in person. And if that works with mainstream music, then a moderator is happy with his tool.
Unfortunately, they have to do this, so the stations get a lot of money from the record companies. As a result, the mainstream is determined, because the simple influential person has no high demands and no real own taste. In the meantime, of course, YouTube, Spotify and co. are more influential on the young generation, but the middle ages (35+?) are mainly influenced by radio.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, it was still “in” classics and evergreens to play alongside the current music, and at that time there was still rock (pop rock, pop punk, alternative…) on the mainstream radio, now broadcasters like SWR3 play mainly in 2010 and later. This is relatively unpretentious music, but they still have to sell it as the “Nonplusultra”.
At SWR3 I sometimes feel that someone sits there with taste, because I have heard more often without special occasion “Sisters of Mercy” (a gothic band that doesn’t fit into the transmitter concept).
Why isn’t that in now?
Production with real instruments is probably too expensive.
It is even worse: the MÜSSEN radio moderators represent the mainstream and create and push it at the same time, they are paid for. But, and that is important: this is only true for the big broadcasters! The smaller, independent, can also present and promote creative marginal zones.
A radio station has to play the music that his audience likes. The moderator must at least pretend he likes the music and knows it. He might hear something completely different.
Well, it’s just playing mainstream or wanting alternative stuff on the radio.
Yes, they’re supposed to say they’re good at it. Most radios always play the same mainstream songs. There are also exceptions to Schwarzwaldradio sitting real experts and lovers.
Depends on which station you hear… There are radio stations that play 80s-years-watch; then who are playing rock music…. Not really mainstream.
80 is also mainstream, but good, old mainstream;)
That’s how it’s gonna be.
Apparently, they only take those who wrote up the current charts. And all the time they have to let their praises go over the great stars of today. There’s nothing from the music of the past. Except for a few exceptions. Especially the BRTF4 (95.6Mhz).
How to be happy in such a mainstream job is perfectly sneaky to me. ^^
