Today I went to the workshop because the timing chain was stretched. The mechanic told me the repair would cost 1,200 euros.

This constant change of undersized control chains or wear-prone toothed belts has now become a permanent and reliable source of consumption for almost all manufacturers.
I praise my old Mercedes C180 BJ 2000. There the change of the massively built double control chain is recommended every 500,000 kilometers.
