No GPS reception in the car: Car navigation and mobile navigation cannot locate my position?

Unfortunately, I've become quite annoyed with my Golf 7. Since about last summer, I've been having the problem that the built-in navigation system can't locate me while driving. Not only that, but my phone often loses GPS reception in the car (my phone is brand new; the problem occurred with both the old and the new phone, and only in my car!).
The problem initially occurred only occasionally, but now it occurs very frequently. Occasionally, it works normally, but this has become less frequent.
The car was recently in the workshop for this reason. The antenna was checked and the navigation system was updated. No other errors were found. However, the problem is still there…
The roof was repainted over a year ago, but otherwise there is nothing wrong with the car (no accidents or anything else).
My guess: if I hold my phone up to the driver's side window, I get reception. So it might be related to the windshield.
I hope someone can help me.

Ich schätze, dein Navi ist im Eimer. Rund um die Welt wurden GPS Satelliten in eine Umlaufbahn gebracht. Drei von diesen Satelliten reichen, um dich ausfindig zu machen.
Der Empfänger für das Navi ist immer auf dem Dach des Autos. Es ist dieses kleine Teil, das man auf vielen Autos sieht.
Wenn das Empfangsteil auf dem Dach auch lackiert wurde, dann kann es aber Probleme geben. So etwas gehört abgeklebt und verschlossen, bevor man lackiert.
Naja, wer will sich bei multipler Fehlerproblematik freiwillig melden …
Weiterhin hab’ ich keinen Golf.

Hast Du bei Abnahme dem Meister nicht gesagt: So, nun starten Sie mal -> Nächster Fehler. Nicht nachvollziehbar könnte man noch nachtreten, sorry.
Das mit den Handys wäre zu erklären, wenn eine Frontscheibenfolie den Empfang erschwert – ist die vorhanden? Aber dagegen spricht wiederum “das Problem trat anfangs nur gelegentlich auf, mittlerweile sehr häufig”, die Folie wäre ja fix.
Der Nächste darf mal ran …
Lösungsansatz:
Die Frontscheibe könnte metallbedampft sein und durch die Dachlackierung hat sich die Durchlässigkeit für das GPS Signal verschlechtert.
Ich habe aber keine Ahnung, wo sich der Empfänger des Navi befindet.
