Loss of power in Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8 TBi 235 hp, clutch?

Hello dear people ☺️

Unfortunately, I've noticed a loss of power in my Giulietta this week. Sometimes it jerks briefly when accelerating, as if it doesn't have enough power. But what I've also noticed, and what I've read about, is that the car loses power when shifting from third to fourth gear, and doesn't deliver the desired power in fifth or sixth gear. At first, I thought it was the turbocharger, but it could also be the clutch, as that also jerks quite often. Does anyone have any knowledge of this (unfortunately, I don't know much about it)?

Thank you and kind regards

Check for clutch slippage! However, the engine's jerking can also have other causes, such as valve operation, intake or throttle response, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR valve), porous/leaky vacuum hoses, or a defective cylinder head gasket (draws water, jerks, and the engine shuts down).

How are you supposed to control the slippage? And it's called a valve train, damn autocorrect

It annoyed me too…I noticed it too late with the autocorrect…when you're in neutral…want to engage a gear and just before you want to release the clutch, you'll notice that if the engine dies after a slow period, the clutch is "still" in an intact condition…if not, the clutch lining is worn out…
