Mercedes B200 built in 2012, jerks heavily and loss of acceleration?
Hello everyone. Our 2012 Benz B200 has been exhibiting the following behavior for some time:
After a
After a certain period of travel (duration irregular), the vehicle may
begins to jerk and a loss of speed occurs. Despite "accelerating",
This is no longer accepted and the jerking becomes more intense. The orange
Engine light starts to illuminate.
In the workshop
a lot of error messages are displayed on the diagnostic device (spark plugs defective
and replace). However, replacing the spark plugs did not improve
The car continues to jerk after a certain period of time and at a

Our
The workshop was pretty confused and couldn't find any mechanical fault.
Finally, Mercedes recommended that he perform a software update.
Unfortunately, this was also unsuccessful. The car still starts after a
certain time. Acceleration is no longer possible or without
Success.
Unusual
is that the workshop can delete the error messages on the diagnostic device and
the vehicle then runs again for a certain period of time (only minutes or hours
not days).
Now the
Workshop there could be a crack in a cylinder and Mercedes recommended
to replace the cylinders. Since this process is expensive, the success
cannot be guaranteed, the question arises whether this is still appropriate for a vehicle
worth it at this age?
As I said,
The Benz is a 2012 model and has approximately 84,000 km on the odometer. It's in the workshop
Did you think that the vehicle in perfect condition would have a workshop purchase value

Do you think so? Is the reason given by our workshop with reference to the
possible crack in the cylinder head justified and do you consider the prices for
the workshop purchase and sale as realistic?
