Mount TV on a plasterboard wall?
I just used a paper clip to test the thickness of my drywall. The first panel, up to the cavity, is 13mm thick. Can I mount a TV weighing approximately 23kg to this drywall? What anchors should I use? I hope you can help me.
The plasterboard is screwed to a batten. You have to find it and then you can look inside.
That will hold.
All right, thanks
This is what it looks like under the plates.

Screw in…don't look inside.
So, do I have to hang the TV where the battens are? This means I have no choice as to where to mount the TV?
You can also screw a nice board into the paneling on the wall and then screw the TV into it. You'll have to be a little creative.

If the "slats" are made of wood, you can simply use wood screws. They can also be made of sheet metal. You'll notice this when drilling.
It looks like this.

If I were to drill into the battens in addition to the plasterboard wall to make sure everything stays in place and is stable enough, then I wouldn't need any extra plasterboard dowels/cavity wall anchors, right? Then I could just use regular dowels, right?
