Teaching a horse dressage?

Hello, I'm Julia, I'm 11 years old, and my dream is to become a dressage rider. I currently have a horse that I foster, and I can do anything with him. Unfortunately, the horse doesn't have a saddle, so I always ride him without anything, or just with a halter. My horse listens to me well, but I wanted to try teaching him dressage without a saddle. Would that be possible? My foster horse is about 28 years old and is a cross between an Icelandic horse and a Mini Tinker. He's only 1.36m tall, but I still ride him at 1.65m, and I know I'm not too heavy for him, since I only weigh 43 and he's about 350.

Dear Julia, this is a long-term work for which the rider has to be able to get some years of good riding lessons.

I know that, unfortunately, everything is quite disappointing for you. With the old pony this is no longer possible, and without saddle anyway.
Riding without saddle is quite unpleasant for the horse anyway. And your size is also not optimal. That you are so thin, unfortunately, does not help the pony, because this is how your seat-legged poachers press right into his back.
I also hope that you will be a good dressage rider – because every rider should be there! Dressage is actually a somewhat misleading word when riding. The dressage riding is actually the health port every horse should get.
Therefore I wish you very much that you will get the opportunity to learn to ride properly. And there the dressage is anyway the be-all and end-all 😊

But I still ride with my 1.65 and I don't know I'm too heavy for him as I weighed 43

well – with 11 you have no physics yet, so the law on levers has not yet been up.

you're hurting the horse.

as far too big a rider without a saddle on an old pony is bullying.

the owner is not too fond of her pony. Otherwise, she wouldn't let that happen.

You can't teach this horse any more, but you could just start learning riding.

in a riding school where there are horses for your size that have grown to their task. Until you can teach a rider what, it takes about 10 years for regular lessons.

No, you can't ride the pony at all.

I'm sorry, but wanting to teach a 28-year-old horse dressage has nothing to do with animal love. And that the owner allows you to do everything with it is not a good sign.

Take riding lessons.

Many.

Very many.

You should also be aware of why you shouldn't RIDE your CARE horse.

First, you have to learn to ride properly, then take further dressage lessons and if you master the dressage rider in a few years, then you can start to teach a horse dressage.

Your nursing horse is 28 years old, you should only move that easily and not overwhelm, that is a pensioner.

I don't think dressage rides are animal torture.

It depends on how the dressage riding is operated.

Believe me, my horses are not tormented because these are my sports partners.

I wouldn't be discussing that.

No horse does this voluntarily, it only makes it because his will has been riding for years and standing in the stable, everyone who sees it differently is not an animal friend.

Don't ride dressage and still sit on the horse is animal torture.

Wasted my life for 20 minutes, thank you. Sharp peaks in spring sports, abuse of spores, individual attitude, lack of movement, incompetence of the FN & FEI, that "carrying is predominantly vacated" <- that was also before us.

Did you look at the video completely?

"There are natural people who hold the horses and do not exploit them, who do not force their will, but they are niche."

That the questioner does not listen to (from ignorance & lack of experience) is out of question, yet you can't confuse the entire riding sports. Especially here on Gutfrage are mostly users on the go who have the idea & which the horse good is at the heart.

Being accused of being a bored teen who says "my family has a riding stable" is really not on my schedule.

A horse is not steered over the reins, but over weight shift, the reins serve only as help.

That's why it's so important that someone first learns the basics of riding on the lunge before he can take the reins in you.

What some riders do with their pears, how to attach bars, rubber bands to the gaiters and the saddle, a chain instead of bite, rice purpose under the nose straps, yes I give you right that is animal torture.

I'm riding with a sidepull.

Please watch this video, maybe you understand what I'm trying to criticize here. you can also write your opinion about this: https://youtu.be/97xT1g3meho?si=8X0s9LtEbArPjbKX

I have a riding stable in my family, and I have also informed myself about areas on the subject.

To "discuss" if you have no idea is also unprofessional

Again, a horse's will is not broken.

Who loves his horse and it is worth it, he treats his horse as a sports partner.

But you're not able to understand that, you don't want it and come around with stupid arguments!

Insults in a halfway factual discussion are extremely unprofessional and do not let you be right.

Just because it takes a long time to break the will of a horse, it is not better to also consider as people without mammoth not where we are today, they served as an important food and raw material source, yet today we can live without using these animals, just like horses.
Or can I just sit on you because I'm having fun?

You've got a wrong picture of riding and no idea about it.

A horse should keep his own will.

Riding doesn't mean, like in the Western films, that horse boils several times and is ridden.

The training of a horse begins in the foal age, it begins to build trust.

From about three years you can start riding a horse slowly, it is used to a saddle and rider long before.

Riding and training a horse takes between 2-5 years depending on the horse.

Without the horse, today we wouldn't be there where we are today.

Sitting on a horse and riding on it is not animal-friendly, as I said.

And yet, if you don't know, horses are being ridden at a young age, only then you can ride on them. In addition, young dog horses are often more wild and more restless as they have some of their own will in themselves.

No horse-headed man who loves his horse breaks the will of his horse.

You have no idea.
