TV can't find channels?

An older TV isn't detecting digital channels. It can't be the cable connection or the cable itself. I've selected DTV/USB as the source. Up until now, it's always been used in conjunction with a receiver and a satellite dish. What could be wrong? Best, Nicole

I don't know what to be DTV/USB.

Safe is, the channel search with specifications for a satellite connection does not work with cable TV. Cable TV has completely different frequency ranges and transponders than satellite TV.

No chance for DVB-C with the part. He's so old, he can only DVB-T and analog TV. Both formats are no longer available.

You now need a DVB-C cable receiver that connects to one of the HDMI inputs. The coax cable is also plugged into the receiver (not on the TV).

The channel search and program switchover then takes place on the receiver and not on the TV. On TV only the source is set to HDMI.

Then tell us what TV you have (manufacturer and model).
