Listen to Musk offline for free?

I wanted to load music onto my MP3 player, which worked perfectly. According to the player's folder on my laptop, all the songs are there. But the MP3 player keeps showing 'empty card.' The music is actually on it, but why can't the player find it? The SD card was in there from the start…
