First cosplay post but afraid of reaction?
Hi guys, I've been dreaming of cosplaying for a while now (4 years) and now here is the finished costume. I improvised a lot since this is my first time and I'm not wearing contact lenses or a wig (I'm using my own hair), so it's not true to the original. Of course I know cosplay is supposed to be fun and about your personal interpretation of the character, but my family has made me a bit insecure. Even though everyone seems nice from my perspective, I'm worried that my first post on Instagram will get a lot of hate or be ignored. What were your experiences with the first picture and comments? Do you have any tips?
I was also very nervous about the first Cosplay Post but it didn’t happen badly. Of course, I didn’t see much because no one has followed me yet, but I haven’t received one yet.
At Tiktok it is more likely to get the case.
Like everything on the Internet, you need a thick coat. There will always be negative comments.
I think the Cosplay community is a rather friendly, simply to mention in the post itself directly “This is my first attempt, I know weaknesses, I wanted to share it with you because I did a lot of work”
Then the whole thing will be positive (:
No matter what you share on the Internet, anyone will not like it. This is the internet and many leave their problems/stress through it, unfortunately then people like you are the sufferers. However, there will also be people who like it and want to support you as you deal with it.
Just grab a friend or a friend and take some pictures. Whether you post it, just keep it for you or even delete it, you can still decide.
On the Internet, you always have to expect you to get fucking comments. That’s what you gotta do.
