The Netherlands has a few islands in the Caribbean. And France still has a lot, practically in all the seas of the world. And also a somewhat larger territory in South America.
Most of them are a bit boring in duration. But for a holiday, most are very interesting.

Most of them would be suitable for emigration. Retired people do so. But one has to create one’s own niche, and that can be laborious. And most of them are too boring. Who comes from a big city will be lost. There is practically no job or business opportunities. From there you already arrive with a job, e.g. for an airline.
