Can I exclude the VRR ticket from the semester fee?

Hello,

So my upcoming semester contribution is as follows:

  • 122.50 € social contribution (AkaFö 107.50 €, AStA 15 €)
  • 143.82 € VRR ticket
  • 52.80 € NRW ticket

There is a VRR ticket that allows me to travel within the VRR and an NRW ticket that allows me to travel throughout NRW.

Why is the VRR ticket more expensive than the NRW ticket, even though I can travel throughout NRW with the NRW ticket?

And do I have to pay for the VRR ticket as part of my semester fee? Or can I just pay the social security contribution and the NRW ticket?

As has already been mentioned, the NRW ticket is only an extension to the VRR ester ticket.
In addition, the semester ticket VRR also differs in some points to the semester ticket NRW with regard to the scope (eg Venlo, Arnhem) and passenger and bicycle driving regulations that do not exist at the semester ticket NRW.

The NRW semester ticket is only available as an extension to a semester ticket of the respective regional transport network (here the VRR). That's why it's so cheap and that's why you can't miss the VRR ticket.

Prerequisite for the semesterTicket NRW is the completion of a regional semester ticket as well as a 100% acceptance of the semesterTicket NRW for all students (first-time students) of a university

Don't be ridiculous!

Did you count on how much you pay for the VRR ticket and the NRW ticket together a month?

I wonder if someone like you should even study. What do you have to contribute to society? You're obviously just about your own minimal advantage!
