How do I get braces?

Hello,

I'm 16 and I think I need braces (very likely).

How do I regulate that?

Should I just call the orthodontist and ask for an appointment or should I go to the dentist first?

And what do I have to say?

I look forward to your reply and further assistance 🙂

Hello KbZmC4,

you make an appointment right at the orthodontics. You don't need a transfer from the dentist. The health insurance is responsible for the costs for this appointment.

There you will get a first assessment. What could be done, how to do this and whether the health insurance would take over the costs.

And then you can decide.

Good luck!

have you got a dentist? who see if there is also an orthodontist

if yes, call there and tell what you wrote. Then you'll get an appointment and then you'll look. Probably an impression and an X-ray image are made.

If not, call elsewhere

or if you wanted to go to dental cleaning and control at the dental doctor (which is always good, about once a year) then you can also address this

You need your KK card if you are not privately insured

I'd call the dentist first and make an appointment there.

You're going to the dentist. When he finds a need, he turns to orthodontics.

Yeah, call and ask. What are you supposed to say? Whatever you told us.
