What is the name of the motorway from which you eventually reach an area where you can see one castle ruin after another for miles?

So, for miles along the highway, one castle ruin after another can be seen in the distance, if you're sitting in a coach, for example, and can gaze unobstructed. Every x kilometers, a new castle ruin appears, many of them one after the other, as if lined up in a row.

What is the name of the highway, what is the name of the area, does anyone know?

The only area to which your description of my knowledge applies would be the Mittelrheintal. You can now choose which highway is nearby.

There’s no motorway in the Middle Rhine Valley. West of it is the A61, but there are no castles. Just the Eifel volcano.

You could also look at the highways through Hesse & Thuringia, there is also a high density of castles.

For the track, take a section from the map and search for castles.

1985 approx. This means that the motorways through the GDR are already falling away. Now just look at the route on Google Maps, then you will find the route with the many castles
