How do I create a pattern for a stuffed animal?

What do I need to consider when creating a pattern for a stuffed animal myself?

I plan to sew the Lula doll from Star Wars the bad batch myself.

It should be as plastic as possible and not flat.

Do I need to add a lot more fabric to the sides because otherwise the width or the dimensions won't be right?

I've already made a rough pattern, but before I mess up the fabric, I wanted to play it safe and ask.

You have to leave rum a little edge for sewing, and of course also something for the thickness.

The ears, legs and poor would definitely have to be reflected.

https://www.starwars.com/news/bad-batch-lula-doll here is another pattern.

In the case of doubt, it's easier to cut something later than to stick it back or something.

Look at Pinterest, you could get something.
