The student ticket is electronic. For the ticket there is an extra readout device in buses. There's an e with 3 round lines. You put this on with the front and when it's beeps and green one time it's all good. As long as your ticket is valid, you can check the ticket machines where the blue e is by placing the ticket on it.

You probably don't mean the Hessenticket, do you? The Hessenticket is not an eTicket, but since I still don't want to say anything wrong here the scope for the Hessenticket (ticket for one day): https://www.rmv.de/c/en/fahrkarten/sortiment-sale/fahrkarten-im-ueberblick/tagekarten/hessenticket

The validity area for the student ticket (365€ per year):

https://www.rmv.de/c/de/tickets/sortiment-sale/ticket-im-ueberblick/annual tickets/schuelerticket-hessen-fuer-schuelerinnen-schueler-und-azubis

(the card is quite below for download).

If you're not at the RMV, you'll be informed about your traffic site.

RMV works according to honeycomb system, a ticket never applies anywhere if you do not buy the corresponding fare.
