E36 316i to 328i conversion?
Hello!
Since I'm planning on replacing my 316i with a 328i engine soon, and I'm not entirely sure what I need to replace, I'm asking you. Everything should be registered. I'm not sure which parts I can keep and which I absolutely have to replace. If I have to replace something, do I have to use the original 328i parts, or will 325i or 323i parts work?

Look at the explosion drawings and the parts numbers of the two variants, then you can see exactly where the differences are.
Where can you compare it best? Is there a side or do I have to find every part in the car extra?

You can also request technical details and documents from BMW Clubs. What may also help are repair instructions, even because of the torques of the screws.

Do you think this is a good idea? On the one hand, you make the feeling that you honestly have no idea of doings and bladders, which is also okay, but rather talks about such a Mammut project itself… On the other hand, it is likely to be more worthwhile to find a correspondingly motorized user than to rebuild your old car…

I think that's a very useful answer from my side, because I'm afraid that you're just going to do your presumably still functioning mobile subset… But do what you can't leave. You could ask in a corresponding club of the model if there is not someone who can share experiences with you.

This is such an own construction from a 316i to 328i expensive, should be clear to everyone.
This is what you do if you like to screw up and build your own, there is one of the price no matter 🤷 ♂️
This will be quite expensive when I take the prices of leebmann24:/. Is it better to take a whole donation car with like 250tkm+ for 4-5k and then the things the nothing more are new to buy or rather motor + gearbox + components for 2k and then the remaining parts of leebmann24?
