Afraid of being laughed at?
I actually spoke up a lot at school but then when I spoke up and gave the answer I was laughed at and since then I haven't spoken up at all and when we do something at school, for example games or something like that, I never join in because I'm afraid of being laughed at by my classmates. Can you give me tips on how to get rid of this?
I feel totally. I really understand that at every point. Just because of such a situation, I fell back into my hole and that in adult education, that is, vocational school. It's really hard. Isn't there any trust teachers or social workers you could talk to at school? Because, honestly, from its own experience, it often doesn't bring much to tell the class teacher. I noticed. Then there was a spell like this: "Yes, I know the student who doesn't laugh intentionally." It just doesn't help.
For example, I've regulated this, I've been a social worker and we've been talking to the class teacher and agreed that the teachers will take me if I don't show. That's how I have to say something, even if I don't really dare to report. It works for me very well. Yeah, it's not perfect, but it helps me at least feel a bit more comfortable.
Don't be afraid. You can also laugh if you want. You don't do that, laughing at someone because he's involved in class. Believe me, you have nothing to worry about making someone laugh. Because they don't even waste a second that you do. Do you understand? You're as good as you are. If someone laughs, you're just such an interesting person. I hope I could help you.
Thank you for your answer
