LG

I used to have the 2007er with 170ps. Good car. But more often had problems with the particle filter up to Audi iwann times n software update. It was annoying, especially in short distance, he then often went into emergency mode. Maybe google if that’s what happens at the 140ps.

Having the Golf 5 2.0 TDI 2003 the engine has not had any problems for me so far would rather look if it had rust at the 5’s very happy side sill

The 2.0 TDI EA189 is a very, very reliable engine. Always nice oil changes every 15,000km / 1x per year, DPF regenerations do not break too often and then this engine will hold far over 300,000km. I know cars with this engine, they had 700,000km on it until it was over. Even though it is a cheating diesel, it can still convince with reliability and also with driving pleasure. Compared to the 1.6 TDI from the same series, this engine is a further jump. Great engine, highly recommended. Best buy with new AGR, which sometimes tick. In the first generations of the engine there were problems with the oil pump. Generally, the engines are very reliable from 2011-2013 and make hardly any problems.

The two-liter TDI with 140 hp is solid, a colleague of mine has driven 330,000 kilometers and then gave the Audi to his nephew – who still drives him. Reliability is already present in normal care and maintenance.

Ultimately, the pre-owners, their duty-consciousness with regard to maintenance and also the price are important. The Audi A3 is rarely inexpensive due to its popularity even at the age, so you should be careful.

Typical Audi problems are the suspension, automatic transmission (preferably select a hand switch), cooling system and the toothed belt, which can be changed together with tensioning roller and water pump. It is always compulsive to the detection of the change of the toothed belt. If it is not available: pay 500 euros less, because the belt change is usually quite expensive at VAG.

Generally, the 8P is ok and was matured in 2008. I mean, the big facelift was 2008.

Great.

I have not been driving an Audi for a long time (has a 100), but I think you don’t make a mistake with a well maintained Audi A3:-). It shouldn’t be a cucumber from a fourth hand, but you have the choice.

In the first years of construction, the 8P actually also has rust problems, but the specimens after the facelift are considered very rust-resistant.

I don’t see the Audi in the advantage. A Golf III is at least simpler and considerably cheaper to repair. I’m still driving a 1997 Mercedes C180 and he has a lot to do, is very reliable 🙂

Can I ask what the Audi costs?
