How to open a WD NAS hard drive that doesn't have screws?
Hello, can someone tell me how to open the hard drive? I've removed the sticker and don't see any screws.

Hi guys, My iPad is defective, and I'm taking it to an Apple Store on Friday. It will most likely be sent in for repair… but I also want to use my iPad for school as soon as possible. Does anyone have any experience with how long the repair and return process takes? Or is…
Hello, I'm an idiot. I have an acrylic CPU block and it was dirty and I wanted to clean it. My cleaning agent of choice has always been alcohol. So I put the thing in alcohol. Now the thing has stress cracks all over it where it wasn't coated. They didn't seem to be deep…
I've been seeing this attached screen for several hours, and nothing's happening. I don't know if it's because about 400GB of the HDD's space was used beforehand, or if it's just taking so long. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks.
Unfortunately, my motherboard only has one M.2 slot. It currently contains a very small hard drive that I'd like to replace. But Windows is installed on the current one. Is it possible to clone Windows and then move it to the new hard drive, or do you think it's better to reinstall Windows? I also…
Hello, I have a problem with my bike where the rear wheel isn't centered. It tilts slightly to the left. (See picture) What could be the reason for this? I don't have a warranty on the bike but since it's pretty new I think/hope it's not the frame. Greetings Aaron
Good morning, I'm currently building my scooter. I've painted all the parts, but the brackets for the fairing, where I attach it to the frame, are almost all broken, and gluing them all back on individually would be too much trouble, as there are easily 20-30 of them. Do you have any ideas how I…
The question is more what you want to do – for data recovery you can exchange your head. I would no longer use the plate after such an operation!
So when it comes to the data there are options – but there is also the question whether the whole tools you need will justify the effort than a prof. Data recovery lab would probably be cheaper.
If it’s just about the plate, forget it – every repair would buy you a little time – the plate will fall out like this or something…
You click comes to 90% of a defect head -> headswap and to 10% of a firmware or PCB problem -> firmware repair with MRT / PC3000 or PCB swap.
Why would you open it? They are now often glued and sealed. There’s nix in there to fix or watch.
a hard drive opens
They’ll make the departure, say, destroy
What are you gonna do? Scratch the data off the discs?
It makes Knack sounds and was not recognized. How else can you find / repair the cause?
Reading Firmware data, using the serial interface or by interpreting the SATA status bits, but you need appropriate tools for this. For opening the HDD by the way…
Well, if this is still within the WD manufacturer’s warranty, ne RMA will make up and then it will be replaced
Here you can check the HDD https://support-de.wd.com/app/warrantystatusweb
but since the NAS belongs to nem, the entire NAS must log into RMA and since you opened it (glue removed, that was a guarantee seal), WD will probably refuse the warranty
yes, then recycle them, buy you a new one, build them and then get the data from BackUp back and finished
The warranty is over
