Taxes in the erotic and porn industry?
I am always amazed at the sometimes absurdly high prices in this scene.
Hence my question: Are pornographic and erotic goods taxed more heavily than normal luxury goods (19% VAT)?

No, they're not. However, depending on what you look at there, it may be products that are not produced in mass production, possibly even requiring quite a lot of handles from a human instead of a machine. This increases production costs and thus also the sales price. For pornographic products all the more, logically.

I noticed that there are labels that sell eg new socks whose quality is good even with prices of approx. 20€ per couple are absurdly expensive. There are socks manufacturers whose quality is similar or even better (for example) where prices are significantly lower. Of course, higher margins can be traded here than in the Kink scene. Didn't find the prices strangely high.

Also there is no special VAT set.
