Mouth and breathing problems after eating apples?
Hey guys,
I have to ask something: I just ate an apple because I actually really like apples. FYI: I have a pollen allergy, but I'm not sure which pollen it's to. It's pretty bad again right now.
After eating the apple, I noticed that my tongue was itching and burning. The feeling is hard to describe, but it's unpleasant, and I constantly have to scrape my tongue against my teeth. My lips are also burning a little, and I feel like I'm having a bit of trouble breathing. It's scratchy in my throat or windpipe, I'm not sure. My eyes are watering and itchy, too—at least one of them—but I'd attribute that to my pollen allergy, since that's where I usually get it.
I don't usually have problems with apples. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
My mom thinks it's nothing but I'm not sure?
There are so-called cross allergies. For example, certain pollen allergy – reaction in certain fruit varieties.
You shouldn't eat apples anymore. Such a reaction can also be much worse.
And they can just show up because I mean, I never had that before?
Everything just starts suddenly. Whether it is allergic depends on many factors, and today there are some negative factors.
I didn't know it was an allergy. I found it today for the first time with the symptoms, but also because I have not taken my pollen allergy tablets, which has shown that.
Just understand that you avoid an allergen instead of eating it, because you may endanger your life. Then, in autumn, go to the Allergologist for testing and, if necessary, measures. Without apples, you can get well.
I'm actually only 19 and I haven't thought so much about it yet. It just surprised me that this could happen.
That's just nonsense. No matter what happens, everything is there for the first time. Allergy builds up within minutes when the right factors come together, to death, for example, because you choke.
Yeah well I didn't know that's why I asked or never heard that someone gets so suddenly from now on an equal allergy
You have an allergy. Maybe only on this particular variety or on something the apple was treated with.
Such allergies always occur from now on. So let apples go
