Niche CNC gantry milling machine?
Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a gantry milling machine; the market is flooded with machines.
I'm completely overwhelmed!
Which ones are recommended?
Should aluminum also be processed?

I want to tune my Traxxas Sledge to 12s. For that, I would install this combo: "Ezrun MAX5 HV Combo 56118SD 800kV G2 / 8mm Shaft Sensor 1/5." However, I haven't figured out where the mounting holes are for the motor mount I want to use (GPM Reverse Motor Mount for Traxxas Sledge) or the…
Is there a cheap buggy for under 200 euros RTR that also has spare parts?
I've been considering buying a real steam locomotive for my G gauge garden railway for some time. Now, however, I'd like a locomotive that runs on small coals instead of gas. Since I have standard rails, the sleepers are made of plastic. My question is, does the coal fall between the rails while the locomotive…
Hi everyone. I found this while cleaning up. I have no idea where I got it. It's made of rubber, quite heavy, the green side is smooth, the red side is slightly ribbed, 23 x 17 cm, and about 5 mm thick. You can write on it very well, but I think it's more for…
The locomotive is analog! It is probably the newer variant V160 003 I don't have a better picture right now 😅
Hi, I have a question: can someone help me with these exercises? I still need to calculate the two contour points (see the worksheet).
I bought our machine at BZT 10 years ago (PF 1410) the machine is still in use and has survived a water damage even thanks to immediate spraying with an entire bottle of ballistol.
We mainly mill wood and wood Plastic, have also already milled carbon fiber panels, aluminum only rarely.
Milling aluminum is a science. You can definitely not mill any aluminum. It must be a millable alloy beforehand. Know the alloy you need to be very accurate with feed, feed and speed (cutting speed). Alu tends extremely to lubricate and adjusts the cutting edges of the cutters. It is therefore absolutely safe in the first attempts.
Recreate that a CNC milling machine is not a machine you just use like that. We used about a month to keep the first usable part in our hands.
Thanks for your input!
