Suitable diode laser for architectural models?

I'm looking to purchase my first diode laser for my architectural models. I already have experience with CO2 lasers.

However, I don't know which laser class is good for my profile.

I'll be working primarily with 1-3 mm (possibly 5 mm) Finnish cardboard. Occasionally, perhaps, with birch plywood (1-3 mm).

I will laser about 2-5 projects per year, each with a cutting area of about 4 m², from small (1/2 cm) to large (40/70 cm) pieces.

Here I would have considered a 10W laser with an expandable area (Sculpfun S30 Pro 10W, Atomstock X7 Pro).

The right choice or is more / less necessary?

Thanks for answers!

Alternatively, the mecpow is also a solution. You should think of an Air Assist so you can cut better.
Alternatively, you can also ask in the Facebook groups whether someone has a laser cutter near you.

Is there in your vicinity at best works halls where you can rent by hour? Google time after maker or maker-faire

That wouldn't scare me. For a good tool that is often more expensive than you would ever afford it, I would take up to 2 hours rather than not. But your thing.
