Flying alone at 14?

I wanted to fly alone within Germany (I just felt like it). Is there anything I need to keep in mind? And does a parent or guardian need to accompany me to check-in or security?

  • Depending on the airline you cannot fly alone – read age restrictions here
  • Otherwise you will need a (certified) travel authority
  • Consider that you will not be able to check into a hotel on site alone (because no full-year-old person on site who accepts liability) so I hope you will stay with relatives/friends

For hotels it must be clarified with parents or it will be authorized. As a result, some hotels (like chains) and some do not allow

At 17 you can only make the first single flight after the PPL training
