Bus driver insults me – justified or not?
Hello,
I wanted to take the bus to my father's grave today. The bus makes a loop (so it starts where I get on, I get off somewhere because that's where the cemetery is, and then I get back on and go back). Apparently, the journey ends at some stop and the bus driver takes a short break (sometimes that's the case, sometimes not). Today I forgot the grave candles, so I didn't get off at the cemetery. Instead, I wanted to go home, and since I know the bus makes a loop, I stayed seated. Since I was the only one on the bus, the bus driver immediately noticed and called me to the front to ask me where I wanted to go. I explained it to him. He then said a very derogatory "Intelligent! Humanity is becoming stupid." And then other things I couldn't understand, which sounded like more insults.
I sat back down, completely dumbfounded.
When we stopped at the next place where I could continue on another bus, I got off because I didn't want to sit on the bus any longer with that bus driver (he gave me dirty looks in the mirror the whole trip).
At this stop, he announced over the loudspeaker (this time there were several people on the bus): "Now everyone get off! Because of the young woman in the back, I couldn't take a break or go to the bathroom!"
I didn't know he was taking a break there… otherwise, I would have gotten off and then back on so he could take a break and go to the bathroom. But he didn't tell me to get off, and out of fear of missing the bus (because sometimes he doesn't take a break there but just keeps going), I stayed on the bus.
Did he justifiably insult me?
No, that's not justified at all. I wouldn't let this happen, and I'd have the situation on the phone at the traffic network.
He just dumped his frustration with you. Don't worry about it, there are people who react to other people. That's not nice, but the truth.
Behavior is not at all, in your place, I would report to the bus company and file a complaint.
Cracking you is one thing and somewhere I can understand if he has no break for you (although I am sure that if he had asked you would have gotten out, so he can have break), but you can't go down in front of strangers all over the bus, whether you've stolen his break or not.
Look online for the mail address and write an email because such behavior is not reasonable for you, but also for other passengers.
The corresponding traffic operation will have an e-mail address and will not be happy. It's always going with me.
No. I think he's been pretty upset.
What's his right to speak so declining? He could tell you normally that he wants to take a break/must, but so to react just testifies how bitter a person must be.
If you just take it off, you don't have to feel bad, but you don't have to.
The other people on the bus who then had to leave were on his side and said: “Yes is understandable, the bus driver must take a break” and looked at me very badly.
they have got the actual incident but not. so where he has so insulted me and where he didn't say he wants to take a break..
I'll give you the right thing. he shouldn't have done that. Not to expose yourself.
I'd complain about the man at the company!
What would have been said if he had asked you to go out politely and come back when he is back from the break. You would have understood that.
Best, Anna
Of course I would have gone out. And of course I would have understood. The problem was that I didn't know…
I also see this in the description!
I would have polished his neck and then broken the neck.
Now I'm not female.
ok and then comes an ad for body injury and tried murder
Every bus stops until he leaves. It's on every plan. Eyes on, you know that as a bus user and he said so.
You're ignoring all this and bringing the driver to his break.
Of course, that was bad and you were very obviously on the move.
Shame on you.
And an insult was not one of them, you should have apologized and taken off.
But I wanted to go back by bus… I didn't know he was going to take a break there.
Don't worry, you didn't do anything wrong. Don't listen to them, some people just don't understand or don't know how that feels. I can totally understand what the bus driver did is not okay at all. My bus drivers are also totally badly laughed. Don't let such people tell you anything and not from people on the Internet like the ones:)
Sorry to answer only 3 months later, hope it's not a problem
Is that irony or are you just hanging?
