What kind of pesto should I make?
Hello,
My friends are coming over for dinner this week, and I wanted to make gnocchi with pesto. Which pesto would you recommend (it's supposed to be vegetarian)? Maybe one from Cookidoo, if possible, so I can make it with the Thermomix?
Thanks and regards
Pesto is always vegetarian.
Basil Pesto is the classic version.
Very good is also red pesto from dried tomatoes.
Pine nuts, parmesan, olive oil and basil. Then there’s plenty of black pepper in and the paint is ready. Pesto is basically vegetarian, but naturally not vegan through the Parmesan.
It is only important when mixing that stuff is not warm because otherwise the colouring basil becomes gray. but still taste
My favorites are Basilikumpesto and Spinatpesto/soße
I love it with Rucola.
Definitely with pine nuts.
Pesto with zucchini tastes best for me personally. So tomato sauce with soft boiled carrots, Zuchini, small broccoli. You can also add small champignons.
“Pesto” I wouldn’t call this vegetable sauce.
Vegan pesto? There’s no such thing, the Pesto also owns cheese.
I said vegetarian, not vegan
Ah, yes, that’s different, I’ve read it, the whole vegan bullshit makes me even more cuddly.
Hm, there are the classic varieties, Pesto Rosso, Pesto Alla Genovese or Pesto Calabrese.
