Maintenance declaration? Support for people in need?
Hello,
I support my two daughters, who are students in the Netherlands. I was unable to claim this financial support as a tax deduction because I received child benefit for both of them. The older daughter stopped receiving child benefit as of August 2021. I would like to claim the support paid for the last five months of 2021 as a tax deduction. To do so, I must submit a maintenance declaration. The maintenance declaration contains questions that are unclear to me, such as:
When were they first supported?
How did you support yourself before receiving support?
What period of time is meant by these questions?

My daughter has been studying since 2016 and has been supported by me since. Then I'd have to give this period, wouldn't I?
